Men's Roster For Fall Classic announced

The greatest rivalry in lacrosse gets ready for its next chapter, as Canada and USA will go head to head for the first time since the 2023 World Championships. They will meet in the Fall Classic that goes from October 13-15, 2023 at the US Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Maryland. The event will feature Team Canada men vs the USA men's team on Friday night, along with both countries U20 Women's field teams squaring off. Two powerhouse NCAA programs will also be joining the action on Saturday night, as Penn State (men's) will take on both the USA and Canada. Meanwhile on the women's side, the reigning NCAA champion Northwestern Wildcats will also compete against Canada and the USA.

Here at Lacrosse Canada we are excited to announce the Men's roster and staff that will be travelling to Maryland to take on the Americans and Penn State. The roster is made up of U25 athletes who are looking to make their mark on the international game, along with many familiar faces from the U20 Worlds and the Men's World Championship rosters. Players such as Patrick Shoemay, Dyson Williams, Casey Wilson, Cam Wyers, Michael Grace, Justin Ignacio, and Caleb Creasor all return from the World Championship roster. Defender Owen Grant also will have the opportunity to represent the red and white after an injury held him from competing in San Diego. Now healthy, Owen brings his strong physical game back onto the international stage.

This event will be the rematch of the World Championship finals that took place July 1st, 2023 in San Diego. It was a hard fought back and forth game that ultimately saw the Americans come out on top 10-7 off the back of a stellar Brennen O'Neill performance. It was the 6th straight time that these teams had met in the finals of a World Championship. The Fall Classic will be the next instalment of this great rivalry.

The Coaching staff includes big names such as Tracey Kelusky, Mark Miyashita, Dan Coates, and Kevin Crowley. All four of these coaches have experience at the national team level, either as a player or coach. We could not be more excited to see them coaching some of Canada's best athletes at the event.
