Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Dean McLeod who sadly passed away on October 3rd, 2023.
McLeod was the recipient of Lacrosse Canada’s 2021 Lester B. Pearson Award. This award presented to a member of the Canadian lacrosse community in recognition of outstanding contributions of sportsmanship and leadership in the game of lacrosse and to the physical and mental development of young Canadians through unselfish dedication as a volunteer.

His 29 years in this position is only one of his many roles that demonstrates his commitment to the growth of lacrosse in Canada. Along with in 1988, Dean was the general manager for the 1988 U19 Canadian men’s field lacrosse team.
We are thankful for all the years of dedication and hard work he gave to the game of lacrosse. His love for the sport will never be forgotten and his legacy will carry on into the future.
