The Inaugural Carol Patterson Cup
Whitby, Ontario | August 9–15, 2026
For the first time ever, a new chapter in Canadian lacrosse begins.
The Carol Patterson Cup (U22) debuts in 2026 as the national championship for Junior Women’s box lacrosse, a dedicated stage built for this level of the game.
For one week in Whitby, the top athletes from across the country will represent their provinces in a true best-on-best competition. Every game matters. Every moment builds toward history.
Why It Matters
Junior Women’s box lacrosse in Canada has been building toward this moment for years.
The speed, skill, and compete level have continued to rise across the country, with athletes pushing the pace and raising the standard every season. What you’re seeing now is a level of play that has outgrown the stage it’s had – and earned something more.
That was clear on the global stage at the 2024 World Box Lacrosse Championships, where women’s box lacrosse drew packed stands and audiences from around the world. Showing the women aren’t just ready for the stage, they’re already delivering on it.
Now, that level has a home in Canada.
The Carol Patterson Cup creates a stage where, year after year, the best in the country can show exactly how far the game has come and how high the standard truly is.
