TOKYO, Japan – Team Canada earned the silver medal at the 2026 Nissin Foods World Lacrosse Women’s Championship following a 16-4 loss to the United States in Sunday’s gold medal game.
After an undefeated run through the preliminary round and playoffs, Canada finished the tournament with a 5-1 record, earning their 4th straight silver medal at the World Championships.

How It Happened
The United States established an early lead, scoring twice in the opening quarter before adding six goals in the second to take an 8-1 advantage into halftime.
Canada continued to battle throughout the second half, with goals from Aurora Cordingley, Avery Morton, and Kassidy Morris, but the United States maintained its momentum to secure the 16-4 victory.
Despite the result, Canada completed an impressive tournament, winning five consecutive games to reach the gold medal game. Along the way, the Canadians recorded victories over Germany, Australia, Wales, Japan and Haudenosaunee before earning the silver medal on the world stage.
