Tokyo, Japan – Team Canada closed out preliminary round play with a dominant 21-1 victory over Wales on Tuesday at the 2026 Nissin Foods World Lacrosse Women’s Championship.
The win completed a perfect 3-0 record in Pool B, securing first place in the group and sending Canada into the knockout round with momentum after outscoring its three preliminary-round opponents 57-12.

How It Happened
Canada wasted little time taking control, dominating possession and generating consistent offensive pressure throughout the afternoon. Madalyn Baxter led the attack with four goals, while Nicole Perroni and Kassidy Morris each scored three times as the Canadians built a commanding lead and never looked back.
Wales found the scoresheet late in the contest, but Canada remained in control from start to finish. Jordan Dean and Alissa Digiacinto combined to win 21 of 25 draw controls (84 per cent), helping the Canadians maintain possession all game. Canada’s balanced attack saw 13 different players record at least one point as Canada secured its third consecutive victory to finish atop Pool B.
