Canada Summer Games - Coaching

The Canada Summer Games is the nation’s premier multi-sport event for young athletes, held every four years. Bringing together the best up-and-coming talent from across the country, the Games serve as a stepping stone for athletes on their path to national and international competition. Each province and territory competes for medals in a variety of sports, fostering a spirit of excellence, teamwork, and national pride.

Lacrosse is making its return to the 2025 Canada Summer Games, providing an exciting opportunity for athletes and coaches to showcase their skills on a national stage.

Coaching at the Canada Summer Games is an opportunity to guide high-performance athletes on a national stage. To participate, all coaches must complete the Competition Development Coaching Pathway and the Aboriginal Coaching Module before the Games.

Technical Package

The Canada Summer Games Technical Package outlines coaching eligibility, certification requirements, and team composition. All head coaches must be Competition Development Certified, while assistant coaches must be Competition Development Trained at minimum. The Aboriginal Coaching Module is mandatory for all coaches.
