Coaching at the Canada Summer Games is an opportunity to guide high-performance athletes on a national stage. To participate, all coaches must complete the Competition Development Coaching Pathway and the Aboriginal Coaching Module before the Games.
Technical Package
The Canada Summer Games Technical Package outlines coaching eligibility, certification requirements, and team composition. All head coaches must be Competition Development Certified, while assistant coaches must be Competition Development Trained at minimum. The Aboriginal Coaching Module is mandatory for all coaches.

Competition Development Coaching Pathway
The Competition Development Pathway prepares coaches to lead at the high-performance level. Coaches must:
- Complete NCCP multi-sport and lacrosse-specific modules
- Submit a Coaching Portfolio outlining training plans and strategies
- Undergo an In-Game Evaluation by a certified assessor
Certification must be completed before the Games to be eligible.
Competition Development Workshop Schedule
Coaches must complete required training workshops, which will be scheduled leading up to the Games. These workshops cover essential coaching principles, athlete development, and performance strategies. Registration details will be provided once dates are confirmed.
Aboriginal Coaching Module
All Canada Games coaches must complete the Aboriginal Coaching Module (ACM), which provides cultural awareness and best practices for supporting Indigenous athletes. This module covers Indigenous sport traditions, holistic coaching principles, and the role of reconciliation in sports.
