Lacrosse Canada Announces Senior Women’s Field National Team Tryout Details

Oshawa, ON — Lacrosse Canada is pleased to announce details for the upcoming Senior Women’s Field National Team tryouts for the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship in Japan.

The tryouts will take place December 27–28, 2025, at the Whitby Soccer Dome in Whitby, Ontario. This will be an invite only selection camp aimed at identifying top athletes from across the country to represent Canada on the world stage next summer.

Athletes interested in being considered for an invitation must submit an application during the designated window:

  • Application Opens: Friday, October 17, 2025
  • Application Closes: Friday, November 7, 2025 (no late submissions accepted)
  • Video Submissions: Highlight reels must be submitted to hpcoordinator@lacrosse.ca
  • Response Timeline: All applicants will be notified (invited or not) by Friday, November 14, 2025

Eligibility: Athletes must be 19 years of age or older by July 24, 2026, the start date of the World Championship.

Tryout Fee: $339 CAD (includes $300 base fee + 13% Ontario HST).

Canada’s Senior Women’s Field Team continues to be a global contender, with a strong history of podium finishes and elite talent development through the National Team program.
