Oshawa, ON – Lacrosse Canada is committed to building a strong, unified lacrosse system across the country. As the national governing body, our focus is on providing:

  • Consistent rules for competitions across Canada
  • Safe and fair play for athletes of all ages
  • Clear development pathways from grassroots to high performance
  • National standards that support the long-term growth of the sport

Why Alignment Matters

A nationally aligned system ensures athletes, coaches, and officials operate within consistent rules, safety standards, and development pathways across all provinces. This creates fair competition and provides clear opportunities for athletes to progress at every level of the game.

Listening and Leading

Lacrosse Canada has heard the feedback from our members regarding recent Rulebook and Age & Stage updates. In response, we have made adjustments to these standards to better balance player development, safety, and the long-term growth of the sport, while maintaining national alignment.

2026 Age and Stage Modifications 2.0

2026 LC Modifications 2.0

Lacrosse Canada will continue engaging in good-faith dialogue with our Member Associations and remain committed to working collaboratively toward a unified national system. Where provincial organizations operate outside the national framework, we will continue to provide clarity to our members on how competitions and programs fit within the sanctioned national system.

Our Commitment

Lacrosse Canada will continue to:

  • Work collaboratively with all Member Associations
  • Communicate openly and transparently
  • Support coaches, officials, and athletes across the country
  • Maintain a fair, safe, and consistent national framework

Our goal remains clear: a unified, thriving lacrosse community from coast to coast, where all athletes have the same opportunity to learn, grow, and compete.
