St. Catharines, ON – August 15,2025 – Lacrosse Canada is proud to announce that the 2025 Minto Cup — Canada’s Junior A National Box Lacrosse Championship — will be streamed nationwide on TSN+. This partnership marks a significant step in making one of Canada’s most historic and fiercely contested championships accessible to fans from coast to coast, while introducing the sport to new audiences.
Since 1901, the Minto Cup has been recognized as one of the most difficult trophies in Canadian sport to win. The tournament showcases the nation’s top young lacrosse talent — many of whom go on to represent Canada internationally or compete professionally — and serves as a stepping stone toward the Olympic stage as lacrosse makes its return at LA28.
In addition to providing the stream to passionate lacrosse fans through our partners at the NLL and their free channel NLL+, Lacrosse Canada also recognizes and thanks the 2025 Minto Cup Host Committee for their collaboration in allowing Lacrosse Canada to sponsor this year’s broadcast. This joint effort delivers the growth and accessibility that our sport desperately needs, giving more Canadians the chance to experience the excitement of box lacrosse at the highest junior level.
“It’s about growing the game,” said Samantha McKenzie, Manager of Partnerships, Lacrosse Canada. “We already have one of the most passionate fanbases in Canadian sport, and TSN+ gives us the platform to share the Minto Cup with viewers who may be experiencing box lacrosse for the first time.”
The 2025 Minto Cup runs August 16–23 at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. Full tournament coverage, including all preliminary, semi-final, and championship games, will be available live on TSN+.
