Lacrosse Canada Welcomes Beatrice Currie as Manager of Finance and Business Development

OSHAWA, ON — July 3, 2025 — Lacrosse Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Beatrice Currie as the organization’s new Manager of Finance and Business Development.

Beatrice brings a deep and diverse background in sport, hospitality, and nonprofit finance, with a strong track record in financial operations, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. Her expertise will be key in supporting Lacrosse Canada’s mission and driving sustainable growth.

Prior to joining Lacrosse Canada, Beatrice served as Finance Manager at Cabot, where she oversaw multi-entity financial management, including consolidated reporting, variance analysis, and day-to-day operations at key properties such as Cabot Revelstoke. She also held a prestigious position as part of the NCAA’s postgraduate internship program, contributing to finance operations, contract management, and the execution of championship events.

Beatrice holds both an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Mississippi College, where she was also co-captain of the women’s soccer team. In addition to her professional work, she volunteers as Treasurer for Let’s Grow Learning and Living Hub, a community organization supporting adults with disabilities.

She is currently pursuing her CPA designation through CPA Ontario.

“Beatrice’s leadership, passion for sport, and financial expertise will be a tremendous asset to our team,” said Lacrosse Canada Executive Director Terry Rayner. “Her experience and strategic insight will help us build a stronger foundation for the future of lacrosse in Canada.”
