Team Canada Women’s Sixes to Play for Gold at The World Games

Chengdu, China — Team Canada’s Women’s Sixes squad is headed to the gold medal game at The World Games after defeating Australia 21–4 in what was their most complete performance of the tournament.

From the opening whistle, Canada controlled possession, executed on offence, and limited Australia’s scoring chances with their strong defence. The win sets up a highly anticipated rematch of the 2022 World Games final in Birmingham, Alabama, where Canada claimed gold.

This showdown rekindles a classic: Canada beat the USA 14–12 to claim gold in the inaugural Women’s Sixes final at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Alabama. This years version will surely add another great chapter to this historic rivalry, as the two powerhouses meet once again on the sport’s biggest stage.

The game is set for Monday, August 11 at 11:30 a.m. CST / Sunday, August 10 at 11:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT. Fans can watch live on World Lacrosse TV.
