JEJU, SOUTH KOREA – Team Canada is heading back to the gold medal game at the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship after defeating Australia in the semifinals by a score of 13-5.
With the win, Canada sets up the next chapter in the sport’s greatest international rivalry: Canada vs. USA for gold. The two lacrosse powerhouses have a long and storied history, including the last U20 Men’s World Championship final in 2022 in Limerick, Ireland, where the United States prevailed 12–10.
This year’s matchup promises to be just as thrilling. Earlier in Jeju, Canada and the USA met in round-robin play, where the Americans narrowly escaped with a 7–6 last-second victory. Both sides have only grown stronger since, setting the stage for what is expected to be one of the most exciting finals in tournament history.
The gold medal game will be played on Sunday, August 24 at 1:00 p.m. local time in Korea, which is:
- 12:00 a.m. EST (midnight Saturday night)
- 9:00 p.m. PST (Saturday night)
