TOKYO, Japan – Team Canada is headed to the gold medal game at the 2026 Nissin Foods World Lacrosse Women’s Championship after an emphatic 18-5 victory over Haudenosaunee in Saturday’s semifinal.
Canada delivered its most complete performance of the tournament, controlling the game from the opening draw and showcasing its offensive depth with 12 assists on 18 goals. Eight different Canadians found the scoresheet as the team improved to 5-0 and earned a spot in Sunday’s world championship final.

How It Happened
Canada controlled the game from the opening draw and never looked back, using a balanced offensive attack and strong defensive play to secure an 18-5 victory over Haudenosaunee.
Kassidy Morris led the Canadian offence with six goals and an assist, while Aurora Cordingley added four goals and one assist. Erica Evans contributed five points (2G, 3A), and Hanna Bodner chipped in with a goal and two assists as Canada recorded 12 assists on its 18 goals.
The Canadians also controlled possession throughout the contest, winning 17 draw controls while limiting Haudenosaunee to just nine shots on goal. Canada’s defence continued its strong tournament play, allowing only five goals to book a spot in the gold medal game.
With the win, Canada remains undefeated at the 2026 Nissin Foods World Lacrosse Women’s Championship and will now play for gold.
