Oshawa,ON- Lacrosse Canada is excited to be offering our Sixes Pilot Program at the Community Development level. We will be introducing the Sixes Discipline to our coaching pathway after the pilot program is completed and feedback is collected.
Community Development is the first step to becoming a trained coach in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). This certification will be required for coaches taking part in Sixes Programming across Canada.
The cost to complete the Pilot Program training is $60 and will include 3 hours of Sixes specific content including video analysis on all 4 aspects of the game; offense, defense, transition and ride. Sessions will be capped at 25 participants per session. This will be a collaborative session for coaches to discuss possible modifications at all levels of the sport in addition to suggestions from Lacrosse Canada. All participants will be provided with an overview of rules, suggestions and high-level overview of content covered in our session.
NEW COACHES - There will be an NCCP Core Session required for those who are new to lacrosse and have not completed a Community Development course in another discipline.
