Lacrosse Canada announces 2024 U20 Women's Lacrosse Roster

Jun. 17, 2024

Lacrosse Canada is thrilled to announce our roster for the upcoming U20 Women’s World Championships taking place in Hong Kong.

The World Lacrosse 2024 Women’s U20 Championship will take place in Hong Kong, China from August 15-24 in 2024. The tournament will be hosted by the China Hong Kong Lacrosse Association with support from World Lacrosse as the top women’s programs compete at the junior-level world championship, which last took place in 2019 with over 20 teams.

After several rounds of tryouts including a game against USA and Northwestern in the Fall Classic back in October, the coaching staff has come to a decision on the team. It has been a year long process that saw these athletes push themselves to the highest standard multiple times.

Canada currently ranks 2nd in the world only behind USA for the women’s u20 rankings. Canada has been placed in group B which consists of Haudenosaunee, Korea, Chinese Taipei, and Wales. The schedule can be seen below.

The Team Canada coaching staff is led by Allison Daley. She has brought an incredible support staff with her in Emily Boissonneault, Kaylin Morissette, Kylee White, and Rachel McKinnon. Tami Rayner is the teams general manager.

Head coach Allison Daley had this to say “We are incredibly proud of the athletes who have made the U20 roster. This is a talented group of exceptional people who will be great ambassadors of the sport. Their dedication both on and off the field are truly inspiring. We look forward to this journey ahead.
