Canada began their quest for gold medal at the Wold Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championships with a 19-0 victory over Wales Friday night.
Canada would dominate the game with great defence and stellar ball movement with 10 different players scoring on the night. Lauren Black would record her first hat trick of the game and an assist to be named player of the match.
Jami Macdonald and Charlotte Hodgson each record two goals and two assist for the women in red while goalie Lauren Spence made four saves in the game to preserve the shutout.
Canada will be back in action tomorrow night when then take on the Haudenosaunee at 8 P.M. HKT, 8 A.M. EST and 5 A.M. PST
Meanwhile Wales will look to get their first win of the tournament against Chinese Taipei on Sunday at 2 P.M. HKT, 2 A.M. EST and 11 P.M. PST
