Sep. 19, 2024

Oshawa, Canada- The highly anticipated World Lacrosse Super Sixes event is set to make its return to Canada this October, bringing together top international lacrosse talent for an exhilarating three-day competition. The event will take place in Coquitlam, BC, October 11-13, 2024, featuring elite teams from around the globe.

"Lacrosse Canada is thrilled to collaborate with the BC Lacrosse Association (BCLA) to host this prestigious international event. We are excited to continue showcasing this dynamic discipline in Canada on an annual basis and to partner with the BCLA to produce a truly memorable experience for all involved," said Marisa Di Bari, Marketing and Communications Director of Lacrosse Canada Board of Directors.

The Super Sixes event, which began with Women’s Super Sixes in 2022, has now expanded to include both men’s and women’s teams. The participating athletes are among the best in the world, with many expected to represent their countries in the highly anticipated 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

This year’s event will host Canada, Haudenosaunee, Kenya and Great Britain on the women’s side, and Canada, Haudenosaunee, Kenya and Mexico on the men’s side.

Jill Krop, Executive Director of BCLA, shared her excitement: "With the addition of Sixes to the Olympics, we’re thrilled to have international competition here in BC.  We are hoping lacrosse enthusiasts in BC will fill the stands at Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam to cheer for all teams, but especially for Team Canada!"

All Super Sixes games will be broadcast internationally through our partnership with NLSE, free of charge, with streaming information available prior to the event. Stay tuned for team announcements and schedules, which will be released soon.
