Lacrosse Canada Launches Sixes Officiating Pilot Program for Experienced Officials

Oshawa, ON — Lacrosse Canada is proud to announce the launch of the Sixes Officiating Pilot Program, designed specifically for officials from other lacrosse disciplines who are interested in learning the ins and outs of officiating in the Sixes format. This pilot program aims to equip experienced officials with the necessary skills and knowledge to officiate Sixes lacrosse effectively.

The program is open to officials who are fully certified in another lacrosse discipline, with the requirement that they are not in the first year of their certification. Participants will complete the course content over two sessions: a self-led online session followed by a virtual group session.

The virtual group sessions will be offered at the following times, and participants are required to choose one option:

  • Wednesday, April 16th from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM ET
  • Wednesday, April 23rd from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM ET

The cost of participation is $50, and once the pilot program is completed and feedback is collected, Lacrosse Canada plans to expand the program with additional deliveries.
