Lacrosse Canada Names GAIT Lacrosse Official Equipment Sponsor Through 2028

Toronto, ON – June 2025 – Lacrosse Canada is proud to announce a multi-year partnership with GAIT Lacrosse, naming them the Official Equipment Provider of all National Teams through the 2028 Olympic Games. The agreement will see GAIT supply hard goods — including gloves, shafts, elbows, goggles, and heads — for men’s and women’s national teams across all disciplines: box, field, and Sixes.

This partnership brings together two organizations deeply rooted in the sport’s Canadian legacy. GAIT Lacrosse was founded by Paul and Gary Gait, two of the most iconic names in lacrosse history, both proud Canadians who have helped shape the modern game. The brand has become synonymous with innovation, elite performance, and a relentless commitment to athlete development — values that align seamlessly with Lacrosse Canada’s high-performance vision.

“We’re thrilled to welcome GAIT Lacrosse as the Official Equipment Provider for Lacrosse Canada’s National Teams,” said Sam McKenzie, Manager of Partnerships at Lacrosse Canada. “This partnership is about more than gear – it’s about legacy, pride, and preparing our athletes for the biggest stage in the world. GAIT is a brand with deep roots in the game and a bold vision for where it’s going, and that makes them the perfect partner for us as we head toward the 2028 Olympic Games. Together, we’re ensuring our national teams are equipped to compete at the highest level – and we’re doing it with a brand that understands what lacrosse means to Canada.”

“At GAIT Lacrosse, we take immense pride in our Canadian roots and the opportunity to support the game in the country where it was born,” said Paul Gait, Co-Founder of GAIT Lacrosse. “Lacrosse holds a special place in the heart of Canadian sport culture, and we’re honored to stand alongside the athletes, coaches, and communities driving its growth and success. It’s more than a game — it’s our heritage, and we’re proud to be part of its future.”

Under the four-year agreement, GAIT Lacrosse will outfit all eight national teams with premium equipment, while also supporting community engagement and athlete education through branded clinics and technical content. The partnership includes national team exclusivity for hard goods (excluding helmets), product visibility across digital and event platforms, and equipment integration in Lacrosse Canada’s new web-based training resources.

As lacrosse prepares to make its Olympic debut in LA28, this partnership helps ensure that Team Canada athletes are equipped to perform — and proudly represent a sport that was born on this land.
