Lacrosse Canada New Board Members

Oshawa, ON — Lacrosse Canada is pleased to announce the addition of Ted Goldthorpe, Alan Pereya, Stephanie Pagan, and Brad Cann to its Board of Directors. All four were voted in at Lacrosse Canada’s 2025 Annual Meeting, joining a dedicated group of volunteers committed to advancing the sport nationwide.

Their collective experience spans finance, education, law, and sport governance, bringing diverse perspectives to Lacrosse Canada’s leadership table. Each new board member shares a deep passion for sport and a commitment to strengthening the systems that support athletes, coaches, and officials across the country. Their addition marks another important step in Lacrosse Canada’s continued focus on transparency, collaboration, and sustainable growth at all levels of the game.

Ted Goldthorpe

Ted Goldthorpe is a Partner and Head of Credit at BC Partners, which he joined in 2017 following senior leadership roles at Apollo Investment Corporation and Goldman Sachs. He recently joined the Board of Directors of Lacrosse Canada and also serves on the boards of the Canadian Olympic Foundation and The New School. Ted holds a B.A. in Commerce from Queen’s University.

Alan Preyra

Alan Preyra is an award-winning lawyer, published legal scholar, and sport governance advisor with over 20 years of leadership across provincial, national, and international sport organizations. He brings deep expertise in Canadian sport governance, policy, athlete protection, and lacrosse-specific equipment development. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lacrosse Canada.

Dr. Stephanie Pagan

Dr. Stephanie Pagan is a leader in education, research, and sport development, currently serving as Data and Research Manager with the Avon Maitland District School Board. She has held key leadership roles in the lacrosse community, including President of the Gloucester Lacrosse Association, where she secured over $200,000 in funding to expand access and strengthen programming. Dr. Pagan brings her expertise in research, policy, and strategic planning to Lacrosse Canada as a member of the Board of Directors.

Brad Cann

Brad Cann is a financial services executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience, currently CEO of East Coast Fund Management Inc. He has held senior roles at Purpose Investments, CC&L Funds, and Horizons ETFs, and now brings his experience in governance, leadership, and relationship-building to Lacrosse Canada as a member of the Board of Directors. A longtime sports enthusiast and coach, Brad is committed to advancing sport participation and excellence.

As Lacrosse Canada continues to grow and evolve, the organization remains focused on building a strong foundation of leadership that reflects the values and diversity of the lacrosse community. The addition of these new board members further strengthens the organization’s ability to lead the sport nationally and we are excited to get to work.
