Lacrosse Canada & NLL Partner to Stream Minto Cup, Canada Summer Games Free Nationwide

Toronto, ON – August 13, 2025 – Lacrosse Canada is proud to announce an expanded partnership with the National Lacrosse League (NLL) that will make two of Canada’s most prestigious amateur lacrosse events — the 2025 Minto Cup (August 16–23) and the Canada Summer Games Medal Rounds (through August 24) — available to fans across the country at no cost through the NLL’s free streaming platform, NLL+.

This initiative marks the beginning of a broader collaboration between Lacrosse Canada and the NLL, aimed at addressing the needs of box lacrosse in Canada while making the sport more accessible and visible from coast to coast. Together, both organizations are committed to strengthening the pathway from grassroots programs to the national stage, inspiring new fans, and showcasing the next generation of Canadian talent.

“Partnerships like this are essential to the growth of our sport,” said Terry Rayner, Executive Director of Lacrosse Canada. “By working with the NLL and leveraging NLL+, we’re not just streaming games — we’re creating opportunities for Canadians to experience the excitement, skill, and culture of lacrosse no matter where they live.”

“The NLL is proud to partner with Lacrosse Canada to shine a global spotlight on the Minto Cup and Canada Summer Games,” said NLL Commissioner Brett Frood. “These events are cornerstones of Canadian summer lacrosse, and through NLL+ we can share the excitement, skill, and tradition with fans everywhere.”

The Minto Cup, first awarded in 1901, is widely regarded as one of the most difficult trophies in Canadian sport to win, while the Canada Summer Games brings together the country’s top young athletes in a multi-sport setting. Streaming these events on NLL+ ensures that fans nationwide can watch live, free of charge, and engage with lacrosse on a national scale.

Fans can sign up for NLL+ at plus.NLL.com to watch both events live and free, along with other exclusive lacrosse content.
