A New Era For Lacrosse Canada

Oshawa, ON – Lacrosse Canada is entering a pivotal moment in its evolution, marked by refreshed leadership and a renewed commitment to strengthening the sport nationwide. The following statement outlines the values and direction guiding this new chapter.

Official Statement

Lacrosse Canada is entering a new era.

One fuelled by fresh leadership, renewed energy, and a commitment to doing things differently. With a newly formed Board, we have already begun taking action to reset how we work, how we communicate, and how we serve the people who make this sport what it is. This change in leadership brings a change in approach – more open, more collaborative, more accountable, and more focused on impact than ever before.

We recognize and honour the Indigenous roots of this game – the Creator’s game – and we are committed to growing lacrosse in a way that respects its history, amplifies its cultural foundation, and builds a stronger future for everyone who touches a stick, steps on the floor, or takes the field.

Expectations across the community have evolved, and we welcome that. Players, coaches, officials, parents, fans and partners want clarity, transparency and real value, and we are stepping forward to meet that call. Action is already underway.

Our work is grounded in stronger partnerships, clearer communication, and shared responsibility across the lacrosse ecosystem. Because if we win for the players, families, and volunteers at the heart of the sport, we win for everyone – Provincial Sport Organizations, Minor Associations, National teams, and generations to come.

We’re not here to ask for trust.
We’re here to earn it – through action, progress, and proof.

A new chapter has begun.
And we look forward to building it together.

As Lacrosse Canada moves forward, this commitment to transparency, collaboration, and community impact will continue to guide every decision. With new leadership in place and action already underway, the organization is focused on strengthening relationships across the sport and delivering meaningful progress for all participants.
